On the road to a healthier family.
Childhood and adult obesity are occurring at an alarming rate and need to be addressed.
Studies show a direct relationship between hours of TV watched and child's body fat. Today's children spend more time
tham ever watching television, playing video games, or surfing the net.
Getting your family motivated and on the
right track to health is as simple as combining proper exercise with a healthy diet. Break away from the mold of inactivity
and establish a goal to have your family become more active. The earlier you get your family started exercising and eating
right, the better. The best way to do this is to live by example. Don't just tell your children to go outside to play,
join them. Yard games can be fun for the entire family and they not only help us become more fit, they help us bond.
Moderation is the secret of success. Video games aren't bad; they teach problem solving, improve memory and help to
develop motor skills. If your child enjoys video games let them play, but limit their time. The same goes for junk foods.
Fast foods and candy aren't the ideal foods, but can serve as a special treat.
Here are some ideas to get you started on living your best life.
